Florence Henaway is a proud Juru, Kojimal and Australian South Sea Islander woman, born in Innisfail and raised in Inala. She holds a Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, a Degree in Community Management and Development, and a Master of Business Administration.
With over three decades of experience in the health, community, and disability sectors, Florence has dedicated her career to improving the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Her work reflects a deep commitment to advocacy, empowerment, and creating pathways for others to be heard.
As a strong advocate for her people, she continues to use her voice and leadership to represent and uplift those who cannot speak for themselves.
