Luana Sanders is a proud Aboriginal woman and direct descendant of the
Munanjhalli, Gooreng Gooreng and Gangalu peoples of Queensland. Based in
Magadjin//Brisbane, Luana is a passionate speaker, facilitator, and community
advocate who brings authenticity, humour, cultural strength, and lived experience
into every space she enters.
With extensive experience across First Nations engagement, reconciliation,
community partnerships, leadership, and the renewable energy sector, Luana is
known for her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her speaking style
is warm, engaging, and grounded in relationship-building, cultural integrity, and
honest conversation.
Luana currently works in the renewable energy sector, specialising in First Nations
partnerships and engagement, with experience navigating cultural heritage,
Traditional Owner relationships, benefit-sharing discussions, and community
engagement frameworks. She also has extensive experience developing
reconciliation initiatives, facilitating workshops and cultural conversations, and
supporting organisations to embed respectful and culturally informed practices.
A qualified Trainer and Assessor, Luana is a confident communicator who can move
seamlessly between community conversations, conference stages, schools, and
corporate environments. Whether she is facilitating a yarning circle, delivering a
keynote, MC’ing an event, or speaking to students, Luana brings compassion,
insight, humour, and a deeply human approach to her work.
